International alliances make embassies and consulates trickier in the Virgin Islands

As both the British Virgin Islands and the U.S. Virgin Islands are territories, neither one has its own embassies and consulates. Further, there are no foreign embassies or consulates located on the islands.
If you would like to contact an embassy or consulate for information on the islands, a telephone book can provide contact information for your local British or U.S. embassy or consulate.
If you are involved in an emergency on the Virgin Islands, and are seeking assistance, go to the nearest police station. Although you may not have needed your passport to get onto a particular island, it is good idea to bring it along for identification in case you need help.
