Chenay Bay Beach Resort, named for a French sea Captain, is situated among 30 lush acres outside of Christiansted. Combining the historic charm of the old sugar plantation on which it is built with modern amenities, the resort is a unique and stylish Caribbean retreat.
The natural setting of the resort is further enhanced by tropical landscaping and bright flowers that add to its Caribbean flair. Chenay Bay's fifty private villas are perched on a hillside overlooking the ocean, and afford guests privacy and seclusion. The mile-long white sand beach offers a gateway to the ocean from each room. Both adults and children are accommodated and welcomed here, making this an exotic, family-friendly resort. Families can spend time relaxing, head to the beach for some watersports, or head out and explore the island of St. Croix.
With respect to overall quality, we've awarded this property a 2.5 star rating. However, we also recognize this hotel as being relatively expensive.
The resort is a compilation of 50 individual villas, each with its own front porch. There are four classifications of the cottages at Chenay Bay Beach Resort: Ocean and Garden View Cottages, and Ocean and Garden View Family Cottages. The primary difference between the villas is the view from the front porch.
Each cottage has a kitchenette, air conditioning, a king or two double beds, and cable TV. A villa can sleep from two to eight people.
